Sandend is a traditional fishing village located on the Coast between Portsoy and Cullen. The village is centred on the harbour adjacent to Sandend bay.

The village is sign posted from the A98. Coming from the south it is best to take the A96 from Aberdeen to Huntly, then the B9022 to Portsoy. Proceed along the A98 through Portsoy in the direction for Inverness tuning off 1.5 miles outside Portsoy at the signpost for Sandend.
